What is Minimum Occupation Period (MOP) ?

Minimum Occupation Period (MOP) refers to the period of time that you are required to physically occupy your flat before you can sell it on the open market.
What is Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP)?

Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) is a temporary permit that allows residents to live in a condominium that is habitable but isn't fully completed.
What is Buyer's Stamp Duty (BSD)?

Buyer's Stamp Duty (BSD) is tax paid on documents signed when you buy or acquire property located in Singapore.
What is Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty (ABSD)?

Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty (ABSD) is a tax charged on your second or subsequent property purchases. Buyers are required to pay ABSD on top of the existing BSD.
What is Seller's Stamp Duty (SSD)?

Seller's Stamp Duty (SSD) is a tax payable if you sell a property within the holding period. This is only applicable on all residential properties and lands that are acquired on or after 20th February 2010.
What is Total Debt Servicing Ratio (TDSR)?

Total Debt Servicing Ratio (TDSR) refers to a portion of a borrower's gross monthly income that goes towards repaying the monthly debt obligations, including the loan being applied for.
What is Mortgage Servicing Ratio (MSR)?

Mortgage Servicing Ratio (MSR) refers to a portion of a borrower's gross monthly income that goes towards repaying all property loans, including the loan being applied for. MSR is capped at 30% of a borrower's gross monthly income. In the case of joint borrowers, total monthly mortgage obligations is divided by their total gross monthly income.
What are the types of tenures in Singapore?

There are generally 3 types of tenures in Singapore : 99-Year leasehold, 999-Year leasehold and Freehold. HDBs are classified under 99-Year leasehold while private properties range between these 3 types of tenures.
